5. How You Can Be Saved And Know It
- Luke 13:3 states: "...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. "
- "Repentance is viewing sin the way God views sin, and asking God to help you in turning from it. It is not just feeling sorry for the things you have done."
- Romans 10:9-10 states: "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
- Romans 10:13 states: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
- Spending eternity with God is a simple as recognizing you are a sinner, placing your faith and trust in Him, and asking Him to save you. Example: Dear Jesus, I confess
that I am a sinner and deserve death. I believe that you came to this Earth, died for all my sins, were raised from the dead, and that you are alive today. I am asking you right now to come into my heart and life, forgive my sins, and save me. I surrender my all to you and am trusting in you for all my needs. Thank you Lord for saving me.
- If you truly meant what you've just prayed, then God saved you and nothing can take that away. John 10:28 states: "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. "
- 1 John 5:13 states: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. "
